The tremendous expansion in the field of global financial markets over the last two decades has made Financial Markets an emerging field in the world and hence, an interesting, upcoming and lucrative career path. Considering the untapped potential, the Government of Kerala sanctioned Bachelor of Financial Markets, a new-generation course, in December 2020.

The Department of Financial Markets of St. Dominic’s College has the distinction of being the pioneer in financial markets education in the State of Kerala. It’s a three-year full time undergraduate course, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. The BFM course provides comprehensive training to students in the field of financial market by way of interaction, projects, presentations, industrial visits, practical training, job orientation and placements. It gives an insight into the various aspects of the financial market which includes understanding finance and money, investments, risks, economics, mutual funds, portfolio management, share trading, etc. It is a perfectly designed full time course with a duration of six semesters spread over three years, for all those aspiring to make a career in the growing and ever evolving field of Financial Market.

The course also offers hands-on experience in the industry during the Summer Internship, which is a compulsory component of the program. The Department conducts various seminars and workshops by Stock exchanges and Corporates to make the students well-informed and updated in international financial markets.

Mode of Admission: Basis of Merit- Percentage marks of 12th standard/equivalent.
